By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

What the site is

A free, independent locator of Australian cafés in US cities. Listings aren’t ranked or paid for. How we choose cafés is explained on the About page.

Information is a guide only

We check every listing and say where each fact comes from. Hours and phone numbers, where shown, come from the café’s own website or Instagram, but cafés change their hours, menus and locations, and close. Information may be out of date or wrong. Please check with the café before you go, especially hours. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses from relying on the site. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded.

Google Maps content

This site includes Google Maps features and content: embedded Google maps on café profile pages (which show Google’s place details, ratings and reviews) and links to Google Maps. Your use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the then-current versions of the:

• Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service, and
• Google Privacy Policy.

Ratings and reviews inside the embedded Google maps come from Google and its users, not from us.

Other content and links

• City maps use Protomaps map tiles that we host ourselves, built from OpenStreetMap data © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence.
• Photo credits are listed on our Photo credits page.
• Quotes from articles are short and linked to their source. Trademarks and café names belong to their owners. Listing a café doesn’t mean it endorses us.
• We link to café websites, Instagram and press articles, and some café pages may show a café’s own public Instagram post using Instagram’s official embed. That content belongs to the café and Instagram (Meta), and their terms apply. We don’t control those sites.

Using the site

Please don’t scrape or copy the site in bulk, try to break or overload it, or send spam or abusive messages through the suggestion form. We may block access or ignore suggestions that do these things.

Suggestions you send

If you suggest a café or a correction, you let us use that information to check and update listings. We decide what’s listed. We keep suggestion-form entries for up to 180 days, then they are deleted automatically. How we handle the information you send is explained in our Privacy Policy.

Sponsorship and affiliates

There is no paid placement or affiliate linking on the site today. If that changes, sponsored listings will be labelled “Sponsored” and affiliate links will be disclosed on the page.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any dispute about the site or these terms is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. This doesn’t take away any rights you have under the consumer laws of the place where you live.
